Two men were thrown from a scrambler bike when it crashed with a car in Crosby this evening.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Marlborough Road and Myers Road West, at around 5.30pm, to reports of a crash between a VW Golf and the off road bike.
The male rider and pillion passenger were thrown from the bike during the crash and have both suffered injuries.
One suffered a serious head injury while the other sustained an injury to their leg.
They were rushed to hospital for treatment following the crash but their current condition is not yet known.
Road closures were quickly put in place at the scene where the driver of the car stopped to help police.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm that emergency services are in Waterloo following a serious RTC this afternoon, Wednesday 30 December.
“At around 5.25pm, officers and the ambulance service were called to the junction of Marlborough Road and Myers Road West to reports of collision between a VW Golf and a scrambler bike.
“Two males from the bike have been taken to hospital for assessment of injuries, one for a head injury and the second a leg injury.
“The driver of the car stopped at the scene to assist with enquiries.
“Officers remain at the scene to carry out an investigation. A road closure will be in place so please avoid the area if possible.”
Pictures taken at the scene show multiples police vehicles where the crash happened.
A cordon is currently in place on Myers Road West and a number of officers are guarding the scene while their investigation is carried out.
