It’s that time of year where it’s socially acceptable to watch The Holiday at least 10 times over – or maybe that’s just us?
Whether you’re a big fan of the film or not, it’s safe to say that The Holiday brings out all the festive feels. The cosy cottage set in Surrey comes with everything you need for a festive getaway from a roaring fire to an incredibly cosy backdrop.
Sadly, Rosehill Cottage isn’t a real place, but we’ve managed to find a cottage in the Cotswolds that looks strikingly similar to the one in the film. Star Cottage is described as a ‘double-fronted Cotswold stone holiday home’ in the village of Little Compton, close to Moreton-in-Marsh.

The cottage sleeps four guests in two bedrooms with two bathrooms, and is in a row of six traditional cottages on a quiet lane. With exposed beams, flagstone flooring and a stone feature wall, Star Cottage is also a dog friendly holiday home making it ideal for a staycation.
Described as ‘ideal for a romantic getaway’ or for friends and families, the cottage is in the middle of the Cotswold countryside and nearby eateries. With a cosy sitting room, a kitchen and two comfortable bedrooms, Star Cottage has all the similarities to Rosehill Cottage – minus Jude Law.
The cosy log fire burner will make you feel like you’re in the classic Christmas flick, with a smart TV and Netflix so you can even watch a Christmas film if you want to. For those who’d prefer a summer getaway, the cottage includes an enclosed rear garden with an outdoor table, charcoal BBQ and raised pond.
