M&S shoppers ‘would pay treble’ for ‘stunning’ summer outfit

A Marks and Spencer shopper said they “‘would pay treble” after spotting a “stunning” dress and shoe combination they saw online.

High street favourite Marks and Spencer maintains a connection with its shoppers through the use of social media.

Taking to Instagram, the retailer got its 1.8 million followers excited after sharing a photo of a “bohemian-style” dress paired with some nude heels.

The photo, which was originally posted by fashion stylist Clementine MacNeice as part of an advert for M&S, showcases a white embroidered midi dress and a pair of simple nude mules.

Captioning the image, M&S penned: “@clementinemacneice soaking up the sun in this pure cotton bohemian-style number”.

The photo proved a hit, racking up more than 3,000 likes in less than two hours.

Shoppers were divided over which they loved more – the dress or the shoes – and took to the comments section to share their thoughts.

Niki said: “Oh this is beautiful.”

Annmarie said: “Stunning dress looks beautiful it looks white [here] but it’s actually cream in store. Absolutely beautiful dress would pay treble for this dress in other high street stores.”

Emily tagged a friend and said: “this is soooooo nice.”

Chloe commented: “beautiful dress.”

Jo said: “Where are the shoes from please?”

M&S replied, confirming the shoes were also from Marks and Spencer, and said: “If you search for ‘T024468’ on our website/app, they’ll pop up :D”.

Lilly said: “I’m in love with them shoes.”

Karine said: “Shoes please.”

The dress costs £49.50 to buy and the shoes cost £39.50.
