McDonald’s removing five items but adding five new ones

McDonald’s fans will soon be able to try five new menu items that are being added next week.

The new additions are coming this Wednesday, May 5 and include the Bacon Clubhouse Double Burger and Galaxy Caramel McFlurry.

Those visiting the golden arches have plenty of time to try them as they will remain on the menu until June 15, reports the Mirror.

However, the new options are replacing five other items, so you’ve only a few days left to get hold of them – details of which below.

First, the new arrivals.

The Bacon Clubhouse Double Burger is £4.79 and features, as the name suggests, two 100% beef patties, plus two rashers of Beechwood smoked bacon, slice of cheddar cheese, onions, tomato, lettuce and Special Sauce, all sandwiched between a soft brioche bun. Delicious.

Next up there’s the Chicken Deluxe Sandwich, which includes two crunchy Chicken Selects layered with Emmental cheese, lettuce, and red onions and topped with a zesty tomato relish and cool mayo.

Also returning is the cheese and herb melts, priced at £1.89, served with a tomato dip.

And McFlurry fans can look forward to two new flavours – Galaxy and Galaxy Caramel, which come swirled with chocolate chunks and either a chocolate or caramel sauce. These are £1.39 for a standard size or 99p for a mini.

Now for the five items being taken off the menu. It’s time to say goodbye to both versions of the Big Tasty, the Chicken BBQ Smokehouse. You’ve got until close of play on May 4 to enjoy these one last time.

McDonald’s restaurants are open for walk in takeaway and certain restaurants have outdoor seating. Customers can still order via Drive-thru, McDelivery and Click and Serve, using the My McDonald’s App.
