How much Mrs Hinch is earning on Instagram during lockdown

Cleaning guru Mrs Hinch has taken Instagram by storm – and is reportedly earning seven figures in the process.

Influencers with a focus on cleaning have dominated the social media platform in recent years, with Marie Kondo, of The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up fame, also raking in a fortune.

In a year dominated by the coronavirus pandemic, DIY and cleaning has been a go-to lockdown hobby for many. Cancelled plans and restrictions left plenty of us looking for things to do, so making our homes look their best has been a good way to spend some free time.

But for some people on social media, it can be a lucrative way to spend their days.

Comparison site GoCompare has released the international Homefluencer Rich List revealing who is earning the most online.

According to its research, Marie Kondo and Mrs Hinch are the world’s most successful ‘homefluencers’, with each making more than a million a year.

Out of the 50 international influencers analysed, America’s Marie Kondo came out on top. The home organisation expert could earn £1.11 million a year from her posts on Instagram and YouTube alone.

In the UK, Essex’s Sophie Hinchliffe, also known as Mrs Hinch, came in close second making an estimated £1.04 million a year.

Millions tune in to watch her stories for her top tips and tricks for keeping homes clean and tidy.

A single post to her 4 million followers on Instagram can expect to earn her an average of £17,200.

The cleaning sensation earns this amount without a YouTube account but her TikTok account is estimated to gain her £181.04 per 30-60 second post on the platform.

Mrs Hinch lives with her husband Jamie, their son Ronnie and their dog, Henry. She is currently pregnant with their second child.
