Hooters has jokingly offered a “world class husband creche” in the run up to Christmas Day.
The legendary, yet controversial, American brand has been making waves since opening the largest Hooters in the world right here in Liverpool. Founded in the 80s, it operates under the mantra of ‘Hooters makes you happy’, with a comfort-food laden menu and eclectic drinks options all served by beautiful staff, sporting the brand’s notorious uniform.
Though founded – and still somewhat reliant – on female sex appeal, its Liverpool venue is very much aware of its reputation and gimmick, with posts shared to its social media often incredibly meta and tongue in cheek.

Recently, the Hooters of Liverpool Instagram account shared a photo of four ‘Hooters girls’ in front of an illustrated festive background. Behind them, text reads: “Is he getting under your feet Christmas shopping? We’ll look after him”.
Captioning the image, the account simply penned: “World-class husband creche available [heart emoji] Leave him with us while you shop in peace”.
Hundreds of people liked the image. Commenting beneath the post, one fan said: “Hahaha love this”, while another quipped: “Just wanna go to Zara in peace x”.
The ECHO was told 1,600 women applied to work at Hooters when its arrival in Liverpool was confirmed. Training for successful applicants began in September, before the venue finally opened its doors in November. Hooters Liverpool is based at New Zealand House, 18 Water Street, Liverpool, L2 8TD.
