Home Bargains has launched a £5 dupe of a Halloween decoration that is selling out of US chain Pottery Barn while priced at a whopping $85 (around £67).
The “Gus the Ghost” pillow has gone viral across the pond, with Halloween-lovers struggling to get their hands on one. The product is a cosy throw pillow, featuring a design from popular children’s books.
One shopper here in the UK was desperate to get her hands on one, but even if they were not sold out, Pottery Barn does not ship across the Atlantic.

Scouse interior designer Ellie Fenlon shared a video on Instagram after being disappointed she couldn’t buy her own “Gus the Ghost”, but her mood has now changed as she discovered Home Bargains is selling a very similar-looking throw pillow for £5.
Ellie said: “You can’t get your hands on [Gus the Ghost] here in the UK… until Home Bargains have just released this on their website. It’s a very amazing dupe, £4.99!”
Home Bargains‘ Gary the Ghost is described as “a decorative cushion” that has been “designed to add a cute and whimsical touch to your home décor”. The product is already out of stock online, and it is not yet known when “Gary” will land in stores.
Ellie added: “[Home Bargains…] We need to know when Gary’s gonna be hitting our shelves because best believe he is going to sell out”.
