Eggs The Play

14 March @ 8:00 pm - 16 March @ 9:00 pm

This spring, liverpool arts bar studio three presents
“eggs.” an original and provocative work. Produced by
reese o’neill, written and directed by lauren louise. The
burdens of femininity are acknowledged and celebrated in
this new work. Four tables, four conversations, each
addressing a unique but connected set of problems.

‘Couple 1’ played by anna elise clain and hannah parker as
‘couple 2’, a young couple on their third date, they spent
the night beside each other before coming to the coffee
shop, it’s awkward and young and new.

As ‘liz’ and ‘mark’ we have emma espada and isaac moore.
With beth frances as mark’s mother, ‘grandmother’. They
are unhappy, the young. Exciting love of the previous
couple has filtered out yet, there’s still something.

Bára lind playing ‘solo girl’ observing each table from
afar, she is confident that she does not like being alone,
she is a people person, an extrovert, so when alone,
immerses herself in what is happening around her.

And salwa bea and ellie mclaughlin as ‘friend 1’ and ‘friend
2’. Two university age girls, discussing their friendship
group and the events of the last few days.

Eggs is intended to highlight the issues interwoven with
female identity and experience. Our play aims to highlight
the interwoven nature of these issues, no one is truly
separate and experiences are inevitably linked. Through
the four tables on stage we will witness the way separate
events are inevitably linked, we want to spread awareness
whilst addressing the darkness of different events
through the lives of these women.
