A care worker was left distraught after discovering thieves had stolen her scooter whilst she was caring for a patient.
Emma Johnson provides care work for the elderly and to those unable to leave the house who require assistance with medication, food preparation and general house work.
However as she was leaving a patient’s home on Parton Street, the 40-year-old discovered her scooter had been stolen.
Emma, from Anfield, told the ECHO: “I locked up my electric scooter and it was stolen while I was doing care. It’s been really upsetting.
“I don’t drive so it takes a long time to get to people. I was really upset. I had a panic attack.”

Emma’s husband Frank drove her to her last patient but was still left distressed and confused as to why anyone would do this.
Her electric scooter requires the use of an application to use it which has left Emma puzzled as to how the thief was able to use the scooter.
She added: “My husband came to meet me but he works so he can’t drive me around of a day.

“I don’t even know how they’re using it, you need an app on your phone to use it and it was padlocked to a lamppost.
“Even if they just dumped it for me to pick up I’d go get it, I’m desperate for it as I can’t afford a new one.”
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “We were contacted at 2.50pm on Friday 19 th March, to reports of the theft of a motorised stand up scooter.
“The Mi Pro 2 scooter is believed to have been fastened to a lamppost on Parton Street when it was taken.
“Anyone who has any information is asked to DM @MerPolCC or @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 21000175587.”
